BUSTA'S AFTERMATHTrevor Tahiem Smith, Jr., aka Busta Rhymes,signed with Aftermath Entertainment owned by Dr. Dre back in 2004.It is with Aftermath Entertainment that he produced his first number one album," The Big Bang," produced in 2006." The Big Bang" has sold over two million copies worldwide and features guest appearances from Nas, Kelis, Stevie Wonder and more.For the past couple of week rumors have been going around that Busta Rhymes was either being dropped or leaving his situation with Interscope Records and Dr. Dre's Aftermath Entertainment.There have also been more rumors going around that Busta and Interscope's Jimmy Iovine have been beefing because, Busta submitted tracks to the label he's signed to, Interscope/Aftermath, and the word that is going around is that Mr. Iovine isn't impressed, and Busta of course got defensive. Reps from Motown have confirmed that Busta Rhymes has left Interscope/Aftermath and signed to Universal Motown. Busta was set to release album "Blessed" under Interscope/Aftermath a couple of months ago. I guess when he get around to it he'll drop it under Motown. Below is a recent interview with Busta about how the game works.
SEAN "JAY-Z" CARTER STARTS NEW LABEL!Jigga Man, Jay-Z, Sean Carter is starting all over. Jay-Z recently has team up with hit producers Stargate to start a new label, Starroc. For those of you that dont know who Stargate is, they are 2 of the most talented producers in the world. The have produce and written hit songs for Chris Brown,Rihanna,Ne-Yo And even Jigga's wifey Beyonce. The duo will be packing there gear up and moving into Jay-Z's studio.
JIGGA RE-LAUNCHES ARTFUL DODGER
In other recent news Last week in New York Jay-Z re-launched the Artful Dodger clothing line that he purchased last year for $15 million.
According to wooha.com, the line was re-launched at a party at New York's Chelsea Art Museum hosted by Jay and GQ Magazine.
Jay told the crowd that the Artful Dodger line is “the alternative to everything that currently exists in the marketplace.”
Jay purchased the line from Scion, LLC last year for $15 million cash.
ASHANTI DROPS ANOTHER ONE!October 14, Ashanti will be releasing a album intitled "The Vault". The album is composed of unreleased tracks Ashanti did back in the day. According to Billboard.com, the unreleased material was recorded for AJM Records prior to the label securing a joint venture deal with Murder Inc./Def Jam in 2002.The album's first single is a song called "Let's Do Something Crazy" featuring Flo-Rida.
P.MILLER'S PEACHES!Master P's in the clothing line business again. This time hes has launched a new women's and girls' clothing line called "Peaches.The hot new line will retail for between $10 and $20 and will feature tops and bottoms specializing in stretch denim for women with curvier physiques. The line will also feature plus-sizes. Miller says, "This brand seeks to clothe the entire family from head to toe and target the African American and Hispanic minority customers and make history by being a quality, affordable, urban lifestyle brand for the community." As part of the new line, Miller will launch a nationwide search for "The Great American Girl" who will become the brand's model and spokesperson.
RAY J. LOVES THE KIDS!Harmony4Kidz will hold their second annual New York City "Artists Who Care" benefit concert featuring Ray J this Sunday (September 21st).
The event will be held at New York's Highline Ballroom with all proceeds from ticket sales going to helping a homeless child find shelter immediately.
Harmony4Kidz describes itself as an organization committed to transforming the lives of homeless children by providing shelters, educational and developmental programs. The organization specializes in creating musical events to benefit children focusing on giving, peace and sharing through a message of hope.

Flex is responded to Kelly's appearance on BET Tuesday night (September 16) where the R&B singer spoke on his recent trial where he was acquitted on child pornography charges.
"Let me tell you fam...with your funny lookin' Members Only jacket, your funny beard and your dumb Mel Brooks look you had on your face; there is an issue here 'cause we're talking about little children" Flex says to Kelly in the video. "The interview was a waste of time...I don't even understand 'cause you're on tape. We're not talking about hearsay."
OPRAH SETPS INTO THE MUSIC GAME!Oprah Winfrey has agreed to manage the career of young rising Filipino singer Charice Pempengco.
According to Inquirer.net, Pempengco will remain signed to her label Star Records in the Phillipinnes and the company will guide her career in the country while Oprah manages her career in the US.
Fans of the "Oprah" show will remember the 16 year-old singer from her countless appearances on the show.
Reports say that Oprah will dedicate an entire up-coming episode of her program to the young singer and will also set-up several high profile Hollywood gigs.
MICROSOFT AND PHARRELL!Although they were only on the air for less than two weeks, Microsoft has announced they are pulling their new advertisements with Jerry Seinfeld and replacing them with a new set of ads staring the hit producer and artist Pharrell Williams. This "second phase" of Microsofts campaign will feature Pharrell and the tagline: "Windows. Life without walls."
Pharrell has worked with Microsoft in the past as he helped launch the X-Box's Halo 3 game in the United Kingdom. It's not clear if Jerry Seinfeld will be featured in the print advertisements the company had planned for the fall. There will be a cast of other celebrities joining Pharrell for future ads for the $300 million dollar campaign with the softward giant.
REAL HIP HOP'S COMING BACK!In a recent interview with RollingStone, Andre 3000 revealed that he will release his debut solo album sometime in 2009.
Dre told RollingStone, “It should be dropping by the end of this year or early next year. I’ve pretty much been working with myself,” 3000 explains. “I’ve never really been that big on collaboration. I have a concept, and all the soundscapes are already in my head, so I just have to figure out how to get there.”
GOTTI'S WAY!VH1 has confirmed that The Inc. CEO Irv Gotti will be returning to the network for a second season of Gotti’s Way.
The new season’s theme is dubbed “breaking the cycle,” and will chronicle the fallout of Irv’s season one finale separation from long-time spouse Debbie Lorenzo.
“This is definitely not the Cosbys or Run’s House,” VH1 explained. “But it is clear that whatever way things turn out, they are going to be ‘Gotti’s Way.’”
Season Two of Gotti’s Way premiers Monday, November 3 at 10:30PM.
